Home - What We Believe - Core Values Our Mission

Harvest Bible Chapel seeks to glorify God through the fulfillment of the Great Commission in the spirit of the Great Commandment (Matthew 28:19-20; 22:37-38). This commission is fulfilled as disciples of Jesus Christ are made to grow in their relationship with Him. God is glorified as we manifest His presence as we do His work (2 Timothy 2:2; 1 Corinthians 10:31).

The Four Pillars of Harvest Bible Chapel

Harvest Bible Chapel is founded on Jesus Christ and supported by “The Four Pillars.” These pillars are drawn from biblical truths and explain what we choose to emphasize throughout our church. Wherever you're involved—children's ministries, Small Groups or any other ministry—these pillars define Harvest Bible Chapel:
  1. Proclaiming the authority of God's Word without apology.
  2. Lifting high the name of Jesus through worship.
  3. Believing firmly in the power of prayer.
  4. Sharing the good news of Jesus with boldness.
Pillar 1 - Proclaiming the authority of God's Word without apology
Preach the Word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. Each week, we devote time to open the Bible and explain the truth it contains in a practical and engaging way (2 Timothy 4:2). We believe the Bible and the God it reveals can make the single most important impact in your life.

Pillar 2 - Lifting high the name of Jesus through worship.
God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth. We want to maximize our passion for God’s greatness in our own hearts and in the world that we live in (John 4:24). Our church gathers to worship God on the weekend and goes out the rest of the week to worship Him wherever He has placed us. We want to equip our people to live lives of worship where Jesus Christ is put first in heart, mind, and action.

Pillar 3 - Believing firmly in the power of prayer.
Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving. In Colossians 4:2, God calls His people to pray. Harvest Bible Chapel was formed out of prayer and will continue to place prayer as a central value of the entire ministry. Harvest, pray!

Pillar 4 - Sharing the good news of Jesus with boldness.
Pray also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak. When you've embraced the truth of who Jesus is you develop a desire to share this truth with others. Harvest seeks to be a place where the great news of Christ having conquered sin is proclaimed and our people are burdened and equipped to do the same in their various spheres of influence (Ephesians 6:19-20).

Worship, Walk, Work

The three W’s have direct and specific application to the ministry life at Harvest Bible Chapel. This includes a purposed and simplified structure that maintains a focus on the priorities of attending a dynamic weekend worship service, participating in a Small Group during the week, and serving in the church and community. We believe that this format helps individuals and families living in a fast-paced culture to stay focused on their kingdom responsibilities to worship Christ, walk with Christ, and work for Christ.

This multiplication of ministry is key to the healthy growth of the church.

We are committed to multiplying the godly characteristics of leaders' lives into others (2 Timothy 2:2). We believe that disciples of Jesus Christ should minister to one another in the local church, rather than one or a small number of professional pastors bearing total responsibility to care for the entire congregation. God has given spiritual gifts to all of His people to provide mutual ministry in the context of the healthy and strong local church (Ephesians 4:11-12).
